Who should take SAMe?

People use SAM-e as a treatment for other conditions, especially depression, Fatty liver, liver disease, Alzheimer's disease, pain, migraine, and bursitis and as a mood stabilizer. SAM-e is helpful for adults with ADHD.

Does SAMe come with any side effects?

SAM-e seems to be a relatively safe drug. The most common side effect of SAMe is nausea and, less frequently, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, or vomiting.You should not use SAMe if you are also using a prescription antidepressant medicine. Do not use SAMe if you have used an MAO inhibitor in the past 14 days.

Can pregnant or breastfeeding women take SAMe?

Although SAMe has been used to treat cholestasis during pregnancy, its safety during pregnancy has not been established.

How much should I ideally take?

1 Tablet/day or alternative day as per advice

Are there any interactions with prescription medication?

Do not use SAMe if you have used an MAO inhibitor in the past 14 days or dextromethorphan .Apart from that no major drug interaction for most of the drugs .
